New taster course for Access Data

We would like to invite those interested in our Access Data project to an Online Taster Session titled “Handy tools to help your children learn.”

The session will be facilitated by Frank Duffy, the founder of Code Division – a not for profit organization and SQA accredited Centre committed to designing and delivering bespoke industry focused courses to empower disadvantaged individuals and communities. Our expert has worked in the tech industry for over 20 years, then moved into education and has worked in schools, colleges and universities.

During the session you can learn about:

  • Traditional technology and how it is used in schools
  • Specific educational software (Examples from different areas of curriculum)
  • Unlocking the power of the Internet
  • Mobile Devices (Good and Bad) in education
  • Collaboration Tools (to learn at school and home)
  • Digital Skills for the future/Digital Jobs for the future
  • AI and Data Skills

The session will take place on Thursday 22 April and Monday 26 April, both from 10 a.m. to 11.30am. The same session will be delivered on both dates – please choose the date that suits you most. Our taster sessions are aimed at parents eligible for the project (see below).
