Art (Community College)

Our Art Course is all about discovery and exploration using various medias from pencils and oils to acrylics, pastels and paper. Participants learn key art skills and are encourages to express their emotions and explore their creativity. The course boosts self-esteem, self-knowledge and confidence. No experience is required.

The course is supervised by an Art Therapist from Edinburgh College. Visits to art galleries, places of interest and exhibitions are all included in the course to inform group discussions and to provide inspiration.

The course is delivered in partnership with Edinburgh College and is designed for unemployed students from disadvantaged backgrounds who may require support to maintain a college place. It offers progression on to a range of related courses at the College.

Who

Participants must be of working age and not currently in education or employment. They must also meet other specific entry requirements (contact us for details).

When

Classes run weekly throughout the year. They take place every Friday morning from 10am until noon.

Participants learn a range of creative art skills that allow them to express their creativity. The course boosts self-esteem, self-knowledge and confidence.

Where

The course is delivered at our Edinburgh Office at 156 Cowgate.
