Living Well

What

An opportunity for participants to unwind and nurture their wellbeing via mindfulness sessions, garden visits, guided meditations, painting and more.

The course is aimed at parents, providing them with an opportunity to unwind and nurture their wellbeing whilst working towards an Improving Wellbeing Qualifications Scotland SCQF 4. Tasks will include group discussion, individual reflective activities via workbooks and mindfulness, and feedback activities.

The course will cover:

  • Basic skills of attendance and time-keeping.

  • Self-esteem and confidence-building personal development, through engaging with others, reflective and critical thinking skills.

  • Community learning and engagement through nature workshops, mindfulness and garden walks.

  • Self-help and coping strategies for low mood and difficult mental health issues.

Who

Open to current and new Access to Industry students who meet the eligibility criteria for one of our adult services. Parents prioritised. Contact us, or speak to your Caseworker for more details.

When

The course runs fortnightly over a thirteen-week period. Future dates TBC. NOT CURRENTLY RECRUITING.
