EdinMe is a Service for young people aged 16-21 (25, if care experienced) with emerging and entrenched mental health issues impacting their progression towards sustained education and/or employment. Through 1:1 appointments, the project supports young people in improving their mental health and wellbeing, resulting in their progression onto positive outcomes.
EdinMe particularly seeks to support care-experienced young people, those experiencing or at risk of homelessness and/or substance use, and young offenders. We aim to create a safe space, free of judgement, where they can work on their wellbeing and personal goals.
Caseworkers provide participants with intensive tailored support. Whether this be help with confidence building, budgeting, employability and CVs, or assistance with Driving Theory, Caseworkers aim to support young people in making their personal goals a reality.
This is a Service for people aged 16-21 (25, if care experienced) with emerging and entrenched mental health issues affecting their progression towards sustained employment.
EdinMe’s Services are offered on an individual basis. Young people can be seen daily, weekly or bi-weekly depending on the level of need.
The hoped outcome of the Service is that young people progress onto supported access courses, into employment or onto further training. However, we also work to achieve softer outcomes such as confidence building or self-travel.
The project works across Edinburgh using an outreach approach. Appointments take place in familiar, safe and secure locations that have been agreed upon in consultation with the young people.
