We are excited to be offering a new data course aimed at developing skills in reading, writing, talking and listening – Communication & Presentations Skills: Storytelling with Data – focusing on how to understand, evaluate, and use communication in a variety of written and spoken forms.
Delivered with Edinburgh College, and run in cooperation with Data-Driven Innovation (DDI), the course will teach participants how to prepare and present information with the use of contemporary Information and Communications Technology (ICT) tools and software.
Participants will learn to analyse data and reports and present them in a striking visual story. The below short video gives an overview of the type of thing that you will learn to produce:

The course is open to all Access to Industry clients. There are no formal entry requirements for the course. Learners should, however, have competence in communication skills at SCQF level 4 or equivalent. Candidates will be invited to short interviews to assess suitability. The qualification that students can achieve at the end of the course is SQA Communication SCQF 5.
Communication & Presentation Skills: Storytelling with Data starts on 24 October and is to be delivered in person on Mondays 1:15pm-3:15 pm.
