New wellbeing group for young people with Rock Trust

Following on from the success of our Living Life To The Full short course, we are pleased to be offering a new weekly wellbeing course in partnership with Rock Trust, starting on Friday 27 January with a drop-in taster session. It will then run for six weeks until 10 March.

Our Wellbeing Friday sessions will cover basic life skills and wellbeing advice. Each week will be targeted at getting to know your feelings, boosting your confidence, and becoming more assertive and comfortable in yourself. It will also help young people to expand their employability skill set and gain real practical experience.

Areas covered during the six sessions will be: Money and Time Management; Stress and Moving On; Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem; Interview Skills, Communication Skills and Preferred Jobs; Dealing with Anger; and Teamwork.

Danny McDonagh, Youth Housing Hub Lead at Rock Trust, says:
The Rock Trust is delighted to be working once again with Access to Industry who will be running a new wellbeing and life skills course at our Youth Housing Hub. This course will help young people gain confidence along with skills required to engage in education, employment and training. The course is designed to promote young peoples resilience skills and for them to therefore lead more positive and independent lives.

The Course will run on Fridays at Rock Trust, 3 February-10 March. Taster session 27 January. Email Yukti Lamba on yuktilamba@accesstoindustry.co.uk for more information and to register interest.
