The course will teach basic numeracy skills via a variety of practical subjects, e.g. managing finances and home budget; calculating interest rates; planning family holidays (time and budget management); home cooking (fractions, converting units); home redecoration (surface measurements, how much materials needed) etc.
It will be a relaxed and fun introduction to working with numbers on a basic level. Students will be working towards their tailored individual plans.
The course is delivered by City of Edinburgh Council Multiply and funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
