The NPA Mental Health course seeks to address the inaccuracies surrounding perceptions of mental health and, instead, provide accurate information, promote understanding and equip learners with positive coping strategies to improve and maintain mental health and wellbeing. The course is made up of 3 units: ‘Understanding Mental Health Issues’, ‘Influences on Mental Health and Wellbeing’, and ‘Coping Strategies and Building Resilience’.
The course is delivered in partnership with Edinburgh College and is designed for unemployed students from disadvantaged backgrounds who may require support to maintain a college place. It offers progression on to a range of related courses at Edinburgh College.
