Cooking Group

What

Our Cooking Group runs weekly, with the aim of bringing people together in a safe community setting (with a kitchen and eating area) to plan, create and eat a healthy meal.

The group pick the recipes together, focusing on budget meals and a varied menu – often exploring foods and flavours that they may not have tried before. They then sit down and eat together.

The group helps to teach basic key life skills (planning; shopping; budgeting; cooking), and also alleviate loneliness, by bringing people together once a week in a communal and convivial setting.
