A weekly gardening course led by a member staff who has experience of having their own allotment, working collaboratively with the students and learning together as they go.
With a holistic and wellbeing focus, students work together, solving problems and sharing tasks to make up a well-functioning team. Students will also learn basic transferable life skills, like punctuality, teamwork and division of labour, with regular attendance encouraged regardless of the weather.
Students may join at any time, but those who manage to sustain for six weeks (of a ten-week block) will be awarded an Employability Training outcome or Working with Others qualification. Anyone who takes part will be given a certificate of attendance once the course is completed.
