Introduction to Smartphones

What

We offer a six-week Introduction to Smartphones course for people who have little or no experience of using a smartphone (iOS or Android – all models). The course offers a welcoming space for people to learn together, help one another, build confidence in their digital skills and stay safe online.

This class is part of the wider Access to Industry mission to support individuals facing barriers and develop core skills like problem-solving, resilience and social connection. Internet safety is paramount in today’s world. We spend time on the course developing people’s awareness.

Who

Eligibility criteria applies and spaces are limited. External candidates must be eligible for one of Access to Industry's services. If you are interested, contact us or speak to your Caseworker for more details.

Participants must be 16+ and have their own device (Android 14 and iOS 15 and up is advisable due to security updates and app support).

When

The group meets once a week for 1.5 hours. FUTURE DATES TBC.

Where

Delivered in person, in our Community College (156 Cowgate, EH1 1RP).
