Wellbeing in the City exhibition is open!

We’re pleased to invite you to our new exhibition – Wellbeing in the City – at the Museum of Edinburgh (142-146 Canongate, EH8 8DD), on until 31 August 2025. The exhibition is inspired by ‘feel good’ places in and around Edinburgh and created by participants of our PAGE (Photo Arts Group Empowerment) and Creative Writing groups.

For the exhibition, each participant has chosen a place in and around Edinburgh that makes them ‘feel good’. The PAGE photography group visited each place nominated to take photos and selected their favourites to present in the exhibition. The Creative Writing group have produced short pieces of writing about places or activities in Edinburgh that make them ‘feel well’.

Involved in all aspects of the project, the participants helped with the curation of the exhibition, as well as receiving presentation training so as they can deliver a selection of activities during the run of the exhibition (more information to follow).

Importantly, every location featured in the exhibition is free to visit and accessible by public transport. The hope is that visitors will be inspired to seek out some of these places themselves and thus the ‘feel good’ factor can be passed forward.

The Museum of Edinburgh is open Mon-Sun, 10am-5pm (last entry 4:30pm). Free entry.
